SAR for Professionals

Sexplore_SAR_Professional

sexplorewithdentemin_explore On a professional level, the SAR workshop is targeted at participants whose work requires interpersonal relationships in order to provide services to other individuals. We understand that sex, sexual behaviours, sexualities, and gender identities are part of our communities and that being able to comfortably communicate with those we provide services is integral to our professional lives, practices, and environments. In order to be able to comfortably communicate with others it is vital to be able to know ourselves deeply. We need to understand our limits, boundaries, and the manner in which we perceive and experience sex, sexual behaviours, sexualities, and gender identities in order to delve deep into the root of our attitudes and values.

Our SAR welcomes any individual who wishes to engage in this journey, and professionally we encourage the participation of:

• Therapists

• Psychologists

• Counsellors

• Sexual Health Educators

• Social Workers

• Teachers

• Physicians

• Nurses

• Professionals in the field of sexual and reproductive health

We are not here to change your worldview but to facilitate in a safe non-judgmental space the discovery of your individual values and attitudes towards sex, sexual behaviours, sexualities, and gender identities and the manner in which these values and attitudes reflect and influence your personal and professional relationships to other individuals.

Let us be your guides by facilitating this journey where you will grow and be challenged to confront yourself both at a conscious and unconscious level. Throughout this journey, you will be able to better understand where you are grounded, what your comfort levels are in relation to others, and ultimately you will be better equipped to communicate and comprehend others. Take this opportunity to connect with other individuals and expand your professional network.
